Our Mission

MFI works with Indigenous People to develop new approaches to the education and well-being of their children. MFI focuses on bridging gaps by weaving Indigenous knowledge together with the most current research and evidence-informed methods.

Every person has the power to reach their highest potential when provided with the tools they require. The MFI honours the necessity of working in relationship with a variety of communities, leadership, and governments to ensure Indigenous children, youth, and adults in Canada know who they are and feel confident in their own abilities.

When we work together to remove the barriers that keep Indigenous People from achieving success in school and in life, the positive impacts will span generations.

If we want Canada to succeed, Indigenous children and youth must succeed. As the youngest and fastest growing segment of the population, their potential is our future.
